Banks Power has been working on a PedalMonster throttle response system. I reached out to them for availability. They said, "As far as the Pedal Monster yes we will have one soon for your truck."

Here are some details that have been in Banks' recent newsletters.

December, 2019:
The Electrical Engineering team at Banks have been busy at work to bring you the latest in-line smart module, the PedalMonster! Now it’s time to let you in on the secret. This plug-and-play module easily connects to your vehicle and allows you to adjust its throttle response, eliminating the dreaded “dead pedal.” Banks also loaded it with safety features that won’t ever leave you stranded such as an internal by-pass system that will return the throttle back to stock should a problem arise. All other throttle products on the market will leave you powerless on the side of the road should power to the units be interrupted, or if the product fails.

The PedalMonster also includes selectable power modes that allow you to custom tailor the throttle response to your liking. Change the responsiveness on the fly through the iDash DataMonster, iDash SuperGauge, or through the app on your phone with the PedalMonster’s Bluetooth connectivity. The best part: you can either run it on its own or use it in conjunction with Banks tuners for the ultimate horsepower and throttle response. With the PedalMonster you’ll get safety features no other company even thought to include, protecting you, your family and your investment for the long haul. It’s power and control without compromise, and that’s something Banks has been doing for over 60 years.

Throttle sensitivity boost circuit boards ready for duty!

The latest pre-production Banks PedalMonster boards are in and are being readied for further testing. The PedalMonster is an excellent example of the relentless pursuit of product perfection here at Banks. Essentially done and ready for consumer use months ago, Banks instead decided to expand the “Test Pilot” program by getting the product in as many different vehicles as possible and to really listen to the feedback from the testers. Further improvements to calibrations, response and additional features have been added. This new version will connect to the OBD-II diagnostic port which will provide a constant 12v power supply to the module for uninterrupted steady power, which will circumvent problems seen on many throttle adjustment devices due to their connection to a low-voltage source, namely, the pedal plug itself. The added benefit is that the module can now read what gear the vehicle is in, including reverse.

I wish they’d make the monster exhaust for this truck in a kit. I had it on a V8 F150 and it sounded sweet. Did drone like a mother though.

That's nice they have a product just now catching up with the others.

My iDrive appears to be acting up. Unplugging it takes it out and fixes the "failure."

Banks left me high and dry when they stopped supporting the iDash I bought with their economind tuner and Banks Brake with CBC Smartlock about one year after I purchased it. I don't expect an extended warranty, but a little support like fixing or replacing the component for a reasonable fee would be nice. The iDash constantly locks up and "reloading" the image hasn't helped. Pretty sure the built in flash is defective. The economind started making the truck shift funny so I ended up unplugging everything and just running the banks brake and lockup controller alone. I suspect that both the CBC AND the Economind are adding trans line pressure and making the pressure transducer go nuts. I gave up on it when I decided to buy a new truck.

Banks likes to take over the OBD port and tends to not work with anything else that's plugged in, either split or piggy backed. I couldn't get the Banks Brake setup to work with the Edge and ended up buying their tuner. Big mistake, what a piece of junk.

Banks left me high and dry when they stopped supporting the iDash ....

The PedalMonster took longer because it is more sophisticated than the comparable devices. It is aware of what gear the truck is in, and it will safely revert to normal pedal behavior if the device malfunctions. They haven't released all the specs, but I suspect it is aware of things like altitude and other important engine parameters so it can optimize the virtual pedal position.

Thanks for giving your testimonial about the Banks products you purchased. That sounds horrible. I haven't had any bad experiences with their products or support, but I have only used the iDash.

I like the Sprint Booster. It works as advertised and doesn't tie up the OBD2 port, that would not be acceptable to me.
