I really want to get a used 2019 Ram 2500 6.4 left over-. I have 3 kids, my wife is concerned with that middle short rear seat, I sat in it myself (6'3") and it wasn't that bad. My little ones are in car seats but will that be an issue as they get bigger? I know the mega cab has a full rear middle but they're hard to find. Any remedies to make it more comfortable for rear passengers?

Thanks!

With 3 kids you are going to want the Mega. Dealer should be able to find what you want through the network. Trust me its worth it. Heck of a lot more room. Of course you could do what I did and just order one. That way you get exactly what you want. Good luck!

Thanks but I'm on a budget, want a '19 used one. A new mega cab is far too pricey for me.

I picked up my Tradesman CCSB in July of last year and drove it to the Outer Banks from Ohio a week later. I had a three in the back of ages 10, 13, and 33. I didn't hear any complaints, and I just asked the 10 year old who sat in the middle and she said it was comfortable. Now, this was an upgrade from a 2005 1500 Quad Cab that was our vacation vehicle. In fact a month earlier we had drove it up to Canada, so there was a recent comparison for them. She said it was more comfortable than the '05, which was a Big Horn, and there was certainly more room than the '05. The adult in the back was likely the least comfortable, but like I said I didn't hear any complaints.

So, that is our experience, but I guess it could depend on what the passengers are used to and how picky they are. Kids seem to deal with it better than adults.

With our 2013 (which has the same seat) we had 3 kids at the time of ownership age new born to 3, 6 to 9, and 12 to 15.

We never had an issue with car seats, booster seats ext.

We now have the 2015 and the kids are 6, 13, 19 and they still fit just fine.

The rear facing baby seat in the middle was iffy...but it did fit and a smaller style would have been even better.

I haul three or four kiddos around during high school golf season and none of them that sat in the middle ever complained. my son sits in the middle almost all the time in the back. I have a ccsb. mega would give you more room, but not necessary.

Thanks guys! Feel a lot better about this. Thought I'd be an odd ball with 3 kids.

We quite often have all 6 seats full. The truck is a crew cab for this reason. We need the 6 seats and the 8 foot bed.

I haven't had any complaints about comfort

^ same here. we use all six seats quite often. I can remember doing that in an 04.5 "quad lmao" cab. now that was tight in the back. these new cc's are really spacious.
