Does anyone know if you can do a clean swap of the 2500 steering wheel with a 1500 steering wheel? I much prefer the updated buttons on the 1500...

Thanks for any feedback.

I wonder if there is a way to just replace the front buttons...

Sure. Where there’s a will, there’s a way. The shape of the buttons, horn, bezel around everything, and the mounting locations and screws on the back of the wheel, is completely different between the two. Give me a dremel, some epoxy, some bondo, and a plastic welder, and I could probably get it looking maybe half way decent.

No. The steering shaft splines are different, and the gear +/- buttons wouldn’t work.

Sounds like reworking the center hole would be more feasible.

Oh, and the connectors for the SCCM are different, too. I’m not even sure the right side steering wheel switch would communicate correctly on the HDs, either.
