Surround view backup cam with a camper...

If you don’t have surround view, then you can’t have the same rear view camera part number as the one used on the surround view system. Camera on the left is the rear camera for a non surround view truck, vs the rear view camera on the right that is used on the surround view system-

Top is regular rear view camera, and bottom is surround view rear camera-

They are very different in size. Rather than paying way more than you need to for a relocation kit, here’s the exact same type of extension cable needed- https://www.amazon.com/Bingfu-Extension-Compatible-Navigation-Telematics/dp/B07HP647BX/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=male+to+female+fakra+z&qid=1604548934&sr=8-3&th=1&psc=1
Then, just find a suitable cheap camera housing you can modify however you want to accept the camera.

You just saved me $100+. Thanks Jimmy!

My setup is working like a champ thanks to Jimmy and others here. Biggest challenge was building the housing for the camera.

Hi All, New here... after placing my order for a 3500 HO Dually to pull a GD Momentum 376 THS and trying to figure out a Rear Camera solution I found this thread. Thanks to this thread I did not order any of the Ram camera crap and am still searching for a solution. I was hoping to find something wireless that would integrate into the Ram 360 system. I recently came across this website and this camera system :

Haloview CA613T Wireless Rear View Camera For Range Dominator System

My question: is there any reason why we
couldn't figure out a way to plug the connector from the wireless receiver directly into the video Aux input of the Head unit? This is over my head but maybe there are adapters that will plug into the Uconnect? There are 3 different models with that plug but I couldn't tell a difference other than one of them had a Furrion mount bracket included.

Thoughts?

4 or 5 pin DIN breakout cables are a no brainer and readily available. It's just power and video. I would recommend a higher quality longet lasting system. Check out rvcams.com and get a hold of Tim and let him know what you need.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but what is everyone doing for a camera housing if they are purchasing the parts elcarte with the cable Jimmy07 pointed out for us?

After finding no alternatives, I paid the high price being asked online for the cable/housing kit. Bought the camera through online mopar site. Hurt to pay $100+ for a $9 cable and a piece of molded plastic!
It does fit well though. I'm not linking to the kit I bought because I don't want to promote highway robbery, but as you've probably found, it is an easily searched item.
