Surround Camera Install on a 2019 2500 Laramie

I did the 23+ mirror swap on my 2019, which already has surround view cameras, and everything worked when I swapped it over, but they aren’t perfectly aligned. I’m trying to run the calibration and I have an OBDlinkEX cable, running it through windows and also having the same error on android with AlfaOBD. It connects to the module just fine, but cannot successfully run the calibration on any camera. I get the same error on windows or android:

The cable seems to be fine, Alfa is up-to-date as far as I know, and I have the security bypass module in place. Which, obviously all that has to be true to be able to connect the module, but just confirming for the sake of clarity. Anybody got any idea what might be going on?
Have you been able to fix your problem with calibration?
I ahve 2023 Ram 2500 on its way after it was restored from the flood. We have replaced the module because the original one was damaged. It shows all cameras individually, but doesn't display top view. They tried to calibrate it in the shop, but couldn't get it done. I was wondering if 2023 can be calibrated the same way as previous models using AlfaOBD.

My experience with the Newer CVPM (2022+) into a 2021 that already had surround cameras.. THe “top view” is a synthetic image, once all the other cameras are calibrated (using AlfaOBD). However, I had to calibrate the cameras individually, and I had to be in an area with really good “parallel” lines (stripes) on the road, so the cameras and CVPM could “see” them during calibration. One camera at a time (Front, Left, Right, Rear) with code clearing each time. Once they were all individually successful, the “Top view” image appeared. YMMV.

Just adding myself to the list here looking to figure out the parts list for a 23-24. I dont think the cameras themselves ahve changed in the last few years, I think the differences are in the brackets, CVPM, and if buying full mirrors, getting the right ones. I have a VIN I am working off of if anyone needs one.

Any update on a parts list on a 24? I just bought ram 2500 and it only has a review cam and bed cam. I need the 360 view cameras

Hello I need some help, this thread seems to be the most knowledgeable with AlfaOBD. I have a 2021 ram limited I upgraded the Uconnect 4 to 5 screen, module and the newest CVPM. I ran all of the procedures and got top view camera to work. My only problem I had was the Lane Sense/anti lane departure and parking assist buttons did not work but hazard button does. I couldn’t figure this out and took it to ram so they could “have a look at it” and they used the WiTech tools and blew out all of my AlfaOBD settings. They sent the 2021 build to the 2022 screen/module. Left me with no backup camera at all. After 8 hours of playing around in Alfa I got everything back except now I have no cruise control. Because ACC and AEB are throw error codes: “Adaptive Cruise Control # C2206-00 vehicle configuration mismatch” and
“Driver Assistance System C2206-00 vehicle configuration mismatch”

Please someone who figured out how to fix ACC, Lane Sense, AEB etc guide me.

I can’t live without cruise control, or backup cameras. I drive 3 hours daily. Cruise is a must. It appears if I change year of truck to 2021 then cruise and those errors go away but I lose my backup cameras entirely until I push 2022 year.

I also tried disabling ACC and FCW etc hoping I can get just cruise to work, no luck.

Side note how I fixed cruise before taking it to ram dealer, I went into steering and cleared 2 error codes and cruise was working. Now after ram those error codes do not pop up anymore. Ram dealer told me they can only order me a new screen which would be 2021 to “fix” it.

Take a look here, this thread should have all the info you need:
I managed to make some progress yesterday and get the drivers side swapped. I went about it a little differently, as you'll see in the next post.

For my 2019 Laramie with chrome mirrors, blind spot monitoring, surround view camera, power convex adjust, and power fold, the parts list is as follows:
68590565AC Driver/left Door module
68509727AE Driver/left Mirror assembly
68590564AC Passenger/right Door module
68509726AE Passenger/right Mirror assembly

The mirrors were about $600/ea used in great condition, and the modules were about $80/ea from a dealer on ebay, so call it $1400 all in. I'll recoup about $1000-1200 of that by selling my excellent condition 4th gen mirrors, so other than the time and effort, not a big cost for the upgrade.

First thing was of course to lay them side by side and take some pics, since this is the internet after all.

The new mirrors are pretty close to the same width as the old mirrors folded in/down. As seen previously in this thread, the big difference is the addition of 2 bolts below the existing 3 bolt pattern, as well as the plastic trim hanging down about 2" lower to cover this area.

Based on my highly accurate and perfectly to scale dry erase marker tracing job, the simple square outline would be the lower line, and the finer shape that would be more difficult to cut would be the upper line that runs close to the bolts:

10 pics per post, so on to part 2...
