Surging engine/Braking issue

Since I bought my 22 2500, I’ve frequently noticed an issue when coming to a stop. At the last bit of braking the truck almost acts like the brakes give out for just a second. The feeling is as if when you are almost completely stopped, you let off the brakes for a split second and then re-engage.
And this afternoon this was even worse. Instead of this apparent braking issue, the engine surged so much I thought someone rear ended me…there was no one behind me.
Has anyone else dealt with this?

Some have said the hill start assist can make for some funky shifting. I turned mine off a while ago and haven’t noticed what you explain.

Bad tank of fuel by chance?

1/2 a tank in if it is bad fuel, so not thinking so. I’ll keep watching to see if it happens again.

You can turn off the hill start assist in the settings. See if that changes anything for yah. If not it sounds like a trip to the dealer. Hopefully you have a good one.
