Sunroof doesn't work on new truck...

Hey all...I pickup up a new 3500 Mega Cab a week ago from an out of town dealer and realized yesterday that my sunroof doesn't open or slide. I've checked the 2 fuses that are marked sunroof and done all kinds of internet 'reset' sequences and still have nothing.

I know, I know, take it back to dealer which I will do, but just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and it is something simple!

No...but to be fair, I havent gone back to the dealer yet! I only have 1000 miles on the truck so I am waiting to more stuff to go wrong and then I'll get it all fixed at once.

This happened to me the day I picked my 22 up at the dealer. I had to leave the truck overnight for them to fix it. On my truck they had to remove the ENTIRE headliner and plug the motor in that was never connected at the factory. I wasn't thrilled but they did a good job as I couldn't find evidence of the repair. But QA from the factory was obviously asleep that day.

Dang..I was hoping to avoid them tearing up the interior as I am worried about reassembly and new squeaks/rattles. This is good to know though and would be consistent with other factory QA issues I have heard about! Thanks for the info.

Take before and after pictures of the headliner and note to them there isn't a squeak or rattle prior to the service/repair. You expect them to return it in the same manner. It let's them know you are "watching".

Unfortunately some techs are better at dissambly/reassemly than others. Maybe ask for their best tech with interior experience.

Yeah I'm gonna opt out of the sunroof on my '27 order for sure.
