Ok, here it goes. I was young once, most people were, and had this car club with my cousin. We used to build speaker boxes, and did custom fiberglass work, wiring for a plethora of different applications, etc. Well, I am feeling nostalgic a bit and found a 12” sub in my shed that I want to build a box for and install. Has anyone else done/thought about this? Good locations? Not a priority for me per say, just good fun project for the new “whip”

Haha. I'm sharing the feeling....

It's not near as common as it used to be. But some have done it. Couple threads about it.

Water Fowler 41 on YouTube has a 5th gen. He did full install and overview. Nice video.

Think I have seen others. Huge recommend for five star car stereo on YouTube. They do a replacement of a bad install about 5 months ago on a 5th gen 1500. They install like gods and are a pleasure to watch.

Thanks for the reference man. Unfortunately I live up in Kentucky (at least until the army moves me somewhere else) and can’t make it down that way anytime soon. Was thinking maybe put it behind the middle back seat, platform under the front passenger seat (to allow enough clearance of the ac ducting). The only thing I would need a shop for is really just working with and not against the in cab noise cancellation feature and keeping the stock radio intact. Wish me luck
