Still searching for OEM LED headlights

I took a break from looking for OEM headlights and started searching again. I did find a passenger side OEM LED for $200. Seems like a good price but are there any issues I should look for before purchasing?

I currently have the OEM halogens, is there anything else I need for the conversion? I plan to get AlphaOBD to change the headlight setting to LED. Just want to make sure everything else is plug and play.

There’s been a few threads on this conversion, I never paid a lot of attention as I did things a bit different early on still though I thought a conversion harness was needed? The most recent I remember reading was @ramblinChet converted out his old halogens.
As far as sourcing, it sounds like you are looking for used housings? If so ebay or www.Car-part.com could be helpful sites to try. Of course used comes with risks, try and buy from somebody with a good return policy.

If you’re buying used, at that price there are usually missing tabs, cracked housings etc. Honestly unless you can find a killer deal on housings with no issues you are better off saving up and buying brand new or watch for somebody on here selling new take offs.

I recently put some night edition on my ‘21. I have the original LEDs. Not real excited to ship and am in southern WI if nearby. I also have the adaptor for the halogens - new.

Thanks @flan!

If you search this forum you will discover that there are essentially two options regarding upgrading from halogen to OEM LED lights: the mid-grade and premium.

The mid-grade LEDs are the easiest option since they utilize a 12-pin connection and essentially plug directly into your 12-pin halogen connection. All that is required after that are a few changes using AlphaOBD along with a security bypass cable. This is a fairly easy upgrade for a fair price.

The premium LEDs are what I decided to install - they are projectors and incorporate an adaptive lighting system where the projector lenses will turn up to 15-degrees when you are turning. This also requires a special harness since these lights use a 16-pin connection and they also receive information from the CANBUS network related to the steering wheel being turned. For my application, the additional expense was worth it. @Jimmy07 manufactured the custom wiring harness and security bypass for me - he also provided step-by-step instructions.

Here are some links to key pieces of information that may help you:
I hope some of this information is helpful - there is so much additional information available related to LED upgrades on this forum.
Thanks for the info. I am combining the info I read for the mid vs premium versions and the need for adapters.

I am looking for the mid grade so it’s a simple plug with no adapters.

Thanks again.

I am in Austin Tx.

Are the adapters because these are the projector LEDs?
