Are any of you guys using a steering box brace such as Synergy's on your 5th gens? Is this a bandaid for other front end issues or are these kinda needed? I run 37's on a level and am kinda curious because I read where the brace can extend the life of your steering box.

Synergy is a good one. I have a Dodge Off Road installed. Either will help with any stress on the steering box. I consider it Preventative also

Did you notice any change in drive-ability with the DOR steering box stabilizer? I’m thinking about getting that one.

I really did not notice much difference. Install was easier with the Dodge Offroad. More of a Preventative piece for wear and future stability.

I bought a synergy since that seemed like the best one. I wanted one because I plow a little in the winter and I started running 37's in the summer. Unfortunately the Synergy (and all the rest) don't fit with the western snow plow mounts, so I got a kit from Bad Axe parts and had a local fabricator cut and weld the pieces so they would fit around the plow mounts. Came out alright, and I think it did help tighten up the steering a bit.

I went ahead and got the Synergy brace. Just for peace of mind because I run 37's. I can't tell any difference but I think that's a great thing anyway. It's a new truck and didn't want any different feel. But I feel better knowing it's there.
