Squeak?

Ok everyone, potentially some good news here. I had to be pretty firm with the dealership this morning, sent them the squeaking video of the brakes (they later said that wasn't it), insisted the tech needs to drive it and duplicate. I got a call a few hours later and they assured me it was fixed and I've already picked the truck up.

It did not squeak on the way home. I took it through the usual speed bumps that cause the sound, and I couldn't hear it anymore. I'm going to give it a few days to a week and then circle back here because once or twice the squeak has stopped completely on its own only to come back in full force a day later for no reason at all. Hopefully this does the trick but I won't be certain until a few days from now.

I'm including a picture of my service report that gave a pretty detailed description of how to duplicate the sound, where the issue was, and how they fixed it. I hope it's of some help to any of you that have this issue. Let me know if you have troubles reading it.

Thank you for staying so on top of this, Mark. I probably should've had breakfast first as I was more than a little bit irate as I left the dealership this morning when I wrote that post. If it comes back again I will most certainly start a case with you. For now, we'll see if it stays gone.

Thanks again!

Well this is certainly a great update to hear, thank you for sharing @lolfunction! If you are ever in need of the support down the road with this or anything else, I am more than happy to do what I can from this level to help.

Hope you have a great weekend!

Had my truck looked at today, showed them the video of it squeaking. They test drove it could hear a faint squeak. They retorqued all the front suspension and steering components and took it for another test drive and could not hear it. I picked it up and hit a bump going about 35 and could hear the squeak although not as loud. The dealer said they put the problem in to RAM. I told them I'm heading to camp this weekend (80 miles of dirt roads). My dealer told me to bring it back if I hear it so I will after this trip. My dealer who I didn't purchase the truck off but is 10 minutes from my house compared to the 3.5 hours from the dealer I bought it off have been very good so far.

Just to give everybody an update, went to camp last weekend. Had by buddy drive the truck for awhile so I could hear the squeaking sure enough soon as we started hitting the bumps it started. Noticed everytime he put the brakes on it stopped, so have an appointment Friday morning to have the dealer look at it. At least I narrowed it down to the brakes.
