I have recently purchased a 2022 Ram Limited Longhorn with the Cummins diesel. I have been looking around for spring assist options such as Timbrens, Sumosprings and Timber Grove and need help! Lol! I have read through the board and seen the many posts on this subject but have been having trouble finding the answer to two of my main questions. My truck came leveled with Fox shocks and 35” tires. I will be pulling a 5th wheel which leads to the first question.

How far will my truck squat with Timbrens or Sumo’s? I know pin weight will make a huge difference in this but what have y’all seen with the load you put on your truck?

Second question is if I went with say Timber Grove or Air Lift what will the unloaded ride be like? I had air bags on the GMC 3500 SRW I sold and it absolutely rode horrible with the air bags. Granted it didn’t ride very good before the air bags.

Which way would y’all go? I like the maintenance free aspect of the Timbrens and Sumos but also like the adjustability of Timber Grove or Air Lift plus better sway reduction.

Airlift bags and daystar cradles… the air lift bags with internal bump stops so you can run with no air when unloaded that way you retain the good factory suspension.

The Timbrens while a good option to hold the weight also suck due to the small amount of travel before they hit so you get an extra jaring feeling when you hit a bump i had a set in the past i sold em and went back to airbags

Thank you! This is the information I’m looking for! Can you elaborate on the Daystar cradles? I’ll look them up but am unfamiliar with them.

They do not limit your suspension travel sheck out the link for full description and offroad video

Thank you again and I’ll definitely check them out!

My 3500 srw doesn't ride much different if any with the timbergrove air bags, unloaded with 10psi in them. Definitely needed them, my 40' toyhauler squatted the truck pretty bad without them.
