Spot for air compressor

Hi everyone, I am looking for a place to install air compressor under my truck. I found one, but there is this line and I am not sure if it safe to install it next to it.

My concern is if I put it there it may add extra tension to that line. Not knowing what it is for scares me.

It is under rear door on the driver side.

That is your parking brakes cables. As long as the compressor mount doesn’t interfere the cable operation it will be fine.

The cable with the round “donut” is your parking brake cable. You don’t want to tension that as it will make your parking brake drag.

On My other Truck I installed the Airlift Wireless in the Floor Storage Bin. Worked well.

Thats the parking brake cable depending where you are in the world i would not worry it will be seized in about a tear if you live in the rust belt and you can just remove it for clearance

Assuming you haven't washed that dust off, I'd recommend drawing with your finger the current path of the e-brake cable. Then set it and re-draw the outline. This will show you exactly how much room you have available.

On my 4th gen, that looks spot is where I had my AirLift compressor and tank. It was never an issue.
