Would it be possible to add TPS to the spare tire and have it display on the dashboard readout?

I have one in my spare as I have 5 rims of the same but it does not read in the display, and I don't think there is a way for it to display.

Maybe @Jimmy07 might know a way.

sure it will if you get a flat and are using it and it is mounted on the axle but otherwise no it will not display.

I was just wondering.

I think the lack of knowing what the psi is in the spare is an issue with all brands at least in all of the ones I’m familiar with.

Not with Toyota. Drove me crazy why the TPS light was on in my old 4Runner until the tire store told me it monitored the spare.

I have never had any issues with my spares losing pressure my 2001 (built in 2000)has the original unused spare underneath and it is still at 80 psi last i checked a few months back so its been holding 80 psi for 22 years. even if my spare did lose pressure i carry a tire inflator pump and tire plug kit which everyone should do!
