Short story: Ordered a 2022 1500 Laramie 01 July. Many weeks later.. Got a call from my salesman and GM of the dealership that they had also tried to get an update on the status of my order. They got the same "Awaiting parts, we think" answer I got. SO, I asked if I could have the 2022 Power Wagon they have in transit. Answer was yes. Once it gets to the lot they will put a set of Amp Research running boards on it and I'll have my new ride. Gave them my '17 3500 Dually Mega Cab in August and I miss having a truck pretty bad.

Congrats. You will love the new PW. Welcome to the club. Any ideas on how its loaded?

Retired Navy here. Thank for your service in the Brown water Navy. :p

Here's the window sticker. Been reading through this forum for a while now and watching You tube vids and I'm starting to get worked up about getting it.

Interesting how many dealers are taking the trades immediately when they don't have the new truck….

Nice build.

So they are removing the rock rails and installing the AMP steps. Are they charging you for that? If so, do you get to keep the rock rails to sell and recoup some of your funds?

I tried like hell to figure out a way to keep the rock rails and install the AMP steps on my 75th PW. But because of the designs, it just wouldn't happen. :( So off came the rails and on went the steps. Makes it easier to get in and out off after installing 35's on it. Was even a bit hard to get into with the stock 33's.

They are keeping the rock rails. I'm supposed to get a small take off credit for them.
Should be the cost of them from the parts counter otherwise keep em you can sell them private sale for close to cost

I'll ask about it but I still have the stock front bumper off my TJ from when I swapped out for a winch bumper a few years back. I'd rather leave i them at the dealership than have to trip over them in the shop.

Yea the rock rails sell better than a tj bumper ever could lol

I'd tell them give you full price for them, otherwise you will just keep them since you paid for them. And you want all the hardware they take off along with them.
Then post them on here for sale. Lots of people looking for them. Didn't take long for me to sell mine. Cost about $250 to ship across country via UPS.
