We were driving back from northern Arizona and the truck warned me that the cargo outlet wasn’t working and a restart would fix it. We kept driving, got home, took a nap. Went back out to run errands and when I started the truck, the rear seat outlet started crackling and smoke came out. I shut the truck off and pulled the 400W inverter from the fuse box. Can you think of anything else I should do? Was going to contact the dealer tomorrow to see how they want it brought in.

Nothing was plugged in and no liquids around it. So no idea why it decided to nuke itself.

As long as a you pulled the fuse you should be good, I'm surprised it didn't blow when the outlet shorted?. Be prepared for the dealer saying you plugged something in that shorted it though. I guarantee they will blame you for it.

Thanks. Should be a fun one :/ earliest Appt they have is for Wed. Going to call tomorrow to see what works. Will also see about getting the normal recall work done and a uconnect error that they said takes a week to diagnose (send out) and fix.

Dropped it off at the dealer. Ended up pulling two more fuses for the USB stuff.
