Installing an auxiliary tank in my 2022 limited mega today when I noticed that the trans pan was greasy and filthy. I started to wipe things down thinking it might be one of the pan plugs (I’ve not done a trans service yet, but there have been two oils changes. One at 5k and one at 15k. Truck has 17k now). Got it cleaned up and there was a drop on each of these plate bolts, nothing forward of this. Is this indicative of the rear main leaking? I wiped it all down and will keep a closer eye on it.

Would really have to pull the inspection cover and the foam diaper thingy off to see

Is that those two bolts on that plate? And that rubber-ish seal thing up against the oil pan?

Almost forgot about this… a week ago I pulled the plate but not the rubber diaper. It was totally dry under there. There was some fluid on the plate that seemed to be a tannish color, most likely tranny fluid. I wondered if fluid wasn’t splashed places when they changed mine after my first Aisin failed. However, that happened at 6k miles and the truck had almost 18k on it at the time….

Since then I pulled the camper from Denver to Anaheim CA without issue. I need to climb under it and see if it’s still leaking. I had cleaned everything up when I was under it so I could tell. We’ll see.
