I am thinking of installing a Sinister Diesel Bypass Oil Filter System . I have a 2019 Ram 3500 DRW Cummins. I have never used a bypass. I have researched and they stir a curiosity in me. I use my truck to haul horses, hay, tractors, etc. So I work them. Any Pros and Cons our there by people that have used a bypass oil filter?

Really, I don’t believe it is needed if following the manufacturers maintenance intervals. I think sinister is just a pretty blue anodizing for an unseeded product. I purchased a coolant bypass filter kit, never put in on and sold it to a kid. So there you go.

it's not really needed. if you want to spend some stimulus money and you like turbo noises, get a s&b intake.

Really not needed in todays trucks . Back in the day many big rigs ran them . Today maybe special order that's it . A coolant filter would be a worthwhile option . Had them in alley 15 liter motors . Going to put one on this 6.7 soon . You will be surprised as to how much stuff they catch circulating thru your coolant .

I bought a Sinister Diesel bypass kit and installed it. I plan on keeping this stuck forever, so I want to
keep the oil as clean as possible. I don't plan on extending the oil change interval.

@LamboTexas I recorded the installation. I will post it to YouTube tonight. The installation went really smoothly with only a few gotchas that were easy to solve.

The quality is top notch. The lines are the perfect length. I like that the lines are braided with crimped ends.

I rate it a 9 out of 10 for reasons you will see in the video. I would buy it again.
