woodrow,
If you will enter the details of your truck in your signature (i.e what year truck, diesel or gas, trim level, etc, etc)

Its a 2025 megacab Laramie 3500 dually diesel
A few months back I pulled my 22-foot Travel trailer on a 4000-mile trip. I do not recall it ever redlining in between the gears. I always press the tow/haul button--this "extends" the shift points but not to redline---unless you really hammer the throttle. Has it red line in between shifts since new or just started it?

Its been doing that since new, mainly from 3rd to 4th. Itll hold 1st gear to redline at times too. This is my 3rd ram cummins one was the g56 and the other 2 were the 68rfe. I tow heavy, my fifth wheel is a little over 20k and my gooseneck is heavy with equipment on it. I dont hammer it, no need to hammer down on it.

ok...towing a little over 20K fifth wheel changes the ball game.... That being said, I would say your shift points are normal....
I have been towing all types of RV's over the past 30 years-->20K is a BIG 5th wheel.....

It's a toy hauler 432 Fusion, and with the side-by-side, it's around 20k. Not 20k empty. I mentioned that this was my 3rd Cummins; this is my 4th, and the two with the 68RFE never shifted at redline. I was just assuming it's the new 8-speed. It just doesn't make any sense to do that sense after 2800 you run out of horsepower and torque to my knowledge
