Well I got around to removing a few emblems this afternoon.
I removed the tailgate 4x4 plastic chrome emblem on the tailgate, the RAM door and Cummins fender chrome emblems.
I use a nylon line the kind you use when running a string line , just run it up and down the emblems fall off.
I peel off most of the 3m tape foam stuff so all that's left is the adhesive in black sticky stuff.
I use Acetone on a rag to loosen up the glue and keep rubbing and keeping it damp until the adhesive breaks down.
I then use some Prepall and wipe down what's left of the adhesive glue..check it a few times when it's all office hit it with a few coats of wax..took me about a hour start to finish..
I will be painting the tailgate emblem and hood insert emblems satin black this weekend..then I save up the funds for satin black wheels..
