So this had been bugging me...

When my truck was brand new and within the first few days of driving it (100 mi on truck) I noticed a screen under the settings in the uconnenct 8.4 that I can't for the life of me find anymore. I was breaking in my truck and just trying to get miles on it before I could start putting it to work towing. My wife was driving so she could get accostomed to the truck and I was messing with the settings on the radio screen. I swear one of the settings I found was "SEATBELT CHIME DISABLE" with a check box next to it, unchecked. At the time I found it interesting and thought I might play with it later, leaving all the settings as they were for now.

Fast forward a few weeks and after working my truck for awhile I'm finding that getting in and out of the truck while in the yards I work in, it would be nice to not have it dinging constantly for my seatbelt. Problem is, I can't find the specific setting screen I was in anymore! It mostly bothers me just for the simple fact I can't access that setting any longer, more so than actually getting it changed. I've tried the unbuckle/rebuckle while cycling the ignition method a few times with no luck.

Anyone have any experience with this mysterious settings page on the uconnenct 8.4 that I can't seem to access any longer? All the normal settings are there such as trailer settings, lights, door locks, safety, ext...

I believe the seatbelt chime check box was under the safety settings screen but now I only have the BSM check boxes there.

This is more of a curiosity than anything to see if I am missing something.

Not sure how to do it through the display but a Google search found this:

"Get into the truck, put your seat belt on. Push your start button twice so it’s in “run”. Once the dash boots up fully, buckle and unbuckle the belt three times ending in the buckled position. Once you’ve done that, turn the truck off. You actually will hear a chime telling you it worked."

Thanks, I've tried that method and it hasn't worked yet but maybe I did something out of sequence. I'll give it another shot!

It's picky about it, but it does work, but the timing is super important, if you do it too fast or too slow it won't work. I did it on my 2015 no problem, then I tried it on my 2019, couldn't get it to work, so i assumed it was a different procedure on the 2019. Fast forward a few months and i got annoyed with the chime again so i watched a video on it again and it worked when i followed the video exactly.

Thank you for the replies guys! I will definitely give this another shot today.

So I got the chime to disable after running through the steps laid out again! Thanks Limey and g00fy.

I'm still curious about the additional settings screen that seems to have disappeared since the truck was brand new. This was the only setting I could remember from it and that I wanted to change so really it doesn't matter any more beyond a simple curiosity.

I would like to be able to disable the driver door open chime. Is that possible with a workaround or AlfaOBD? I haven't tried tricking the truck into thinking the door is closed yet.
