I know it’s a HD truck and most of his ad is correct. What gets me is he is selling on the point it’s a Power Wagon so it must be a pulling machine!!!!!! Right….. sometime I wish salesmen actually took some time to learn about the vehicles they sell. I ran into the same thing when I was buying a Jeep Wrangler. All the salesman could point out was it had wheels and tires. I get maybe a used car lot where you have a little bit of everything, but if your a factory dealer by all means know your product.

It tows over 10k on paper. If your not someone who cares about ratings.. lots of guys have bags and pull 12-14k all the time.

It's almost like.. the dealership is trying its best to advertise the truck?

Bothers me more that you think or expect any level of competency from a dealership.

When I was shopping for my Power Wagon my local sales guy tried to talk me out of one because the ride would be harsh because of the rear leaf springs. I just kind of cocked my head and looked at him. I didn't say anything and moved on.

maybe he was referring to a pulling machine as something that will pull all your buddies out of the mud pit. My Pw has a rated tow of 10999 lbs.

the only thing I see crazy on that ad is the price. that is a level 1 equipped PW so pretty low level as far as options go. I have a level 1 and a 2020 level PW had an msrp of under $58K I have 16500 miles on mine and no way is it worth $62K. that is just stupid. considering in august of 2020 it was $50K OTD

You would be surprised. I KBB my truck and low is about what sticker was in 2019. High is about 3 or 4 grand more. My truck is a 2019 6.4 with 18,000 miles. High KBB is 51,xxxx

You should look into what a dealership would give you for yours. You will be surprised.

I have been looking at another 4th Gen. 2017. Tradesman. Crew Cab Long Bed. 81k. 39990...

The truck was probably 36k brand new...you know...81 thousand miles and 5-6 years ago

Sadly, there's very little inventory right now across the country for new OR used trucks. Prices for used have skyrocketed in the last year as such. Not surprised at all by the price. Oddly enough, I'd bet the farm they screwed the previous owner on trade-in value.

It’s more I guess in my 39 years of life I expect people to take pride in any job or career they choose. If your a car salesman know your job (cars) if you sell fish then know your fish.

if somebody offered me $62K for mine I would doing the deal so fast it would make your head spin.

Just checked KBB for value on my 75A PW with 6k miles. Looks like trade-in value is between $63k-$67k and private sale price up to around $70k. Not bad at all. I'd sell today if someone offered me $70k. lol

I’m in the same boat but knowing I’d have to pay the crazy price to replace it keeps me hanging on to mine. My neighbors kid totaled his jeep and the insurance company paid him out as much as he paid for the jeep three years ago because they are based on current market. Times are crazy right now. I do not see it lasting forever but sure is crazy.

I am contemplating ordering a 2022 L3 Power Wagon. With the packages I added, MSRP is 73.5. I can buy it for 65.5. My 2020 Sierra can be traded in for almost exactly what I paid 2 years ago, and it has 25,000 miles on it. I'm extremely tempted to do the deal. Never owned a RAM and have been reading lots here as I research. My biggest concerns are long term quality and resale value (although lately it seems all vehicles hold their value).

One of the funniest (to us) salesmen stories I have requires a back story.

My wife was driving through an intersection on a road with a 45-55mph limit and cut the corner close and hopped the curb where the crosswalk meets and makes a “ramp” and We joked that she hit the curb at 60mph in her focus and it didn’t hurt it.

Fast forward maybe a year later we were at a dealership looking for trucks (not a lifted one) and there was a tundra with a 6”ish lift and some 35”s on it and the salesman came out and was telling us about it. He said “this thing is an off-road machine you could literally hit a curb at 60mph and it would be fine” we bust the hell out laughing and he had no idea why but it made our day.

Lol the first car I bought was an 05 Focus! If I couldn’t kill it as a teenager they are unkillable!!

When I went to the dealer to order my '21 75th AE PW, I met with the Sales manager at first. Told him why I was there. he had no clue what a Power Wagon was. I just told him, "that's OK, you don't have what I want, I'm here to order one."

Got it for Invoice, minus $750 with incentives. Just a little more than what they are asking for that used one.

I know I could make money off it selling it. But I like it too much to sell it.

Yep, car salespeople are worthless.
October 2019: Told them I wanted to test drive a 2019 Power Wagon, guy says they only have a used 2018 on their lot but there isn’t really any difference …I tell him except the transmission, interior, and exterior…. he insists it’s basically the same but he looks again and they have a used 2019 that they just got on trade but hasn’t been cleaned up so we took that for a test drive.
Dealt with the sales manager (not the sales-guy) exclusively after that for the actual purchasing process
