My rpm needle on my 2020 cummins ram with shake at certain speeds with the cruise control on....55, 70, 58, 63. I've also noticed it shake without cruise control on at slower steady speeds of 30-40 mph. I took it into the dealer for my oil and filters change and mentioned it. I told them I have a video on my phone too. They drove it for 10 miles on the freeway and couldn't get it to happen. I leave the dealer and of course it happens once I leave.

The service advisor told me that needle shaking is normal. I've never seen it on any Ram or any other vehicle that I've owned.

Not normal at all I would suggest riding with and or driving a tech with you when ever I go to the dealer I do this to ensure that they see how and when things happen everyone drives a little different and this does have cause and effect in some situations

Perhaps you should post the video....

I'm uploaded a short video to youtube trying to capture the needle flutter. With bumpy highways, its tough to hold the camera completely still and yet still drive.

Well, I finally found out what was causing this and I need a whole new gauge cluster. Shout out to McKays’s Chrysler in St Cloud, MN for being a dealer who actually wanted to solve the problem after bringing it in to three other dealerships who didn’t care to figure it out. My truck will be down for 2-3 weeks they tell me.
