Roaring noise occasionally after startup

I have a new '24 6.7 with 2000 miles on it. Occasionally, I start it up and it sounds fine idling. When I put it in drive and accelerate, it has a loud roaring sound and feels a little sluggish for the first 10-20 seconds. After that it is fine. The sound is exactly like a truck with a bad roaring clutch fan. Any ideas what this is, or if it's normal. This is my first diesel truck.

Fan clutch. Normal as long it doesn’t do it non stop. They all do it. More prominent with the ac running. I can hear mine for a brief second with the a/c on after I come to a stop and start going again.

I've only heard our 2016 Ram 2500 6.4L fan clutch on hot days while coming up long mountain grades while towing. Can't recall ever hearing our 2024 Ram 3500 6.7L doing it even while towing 8,000 lbs up grades. Never after start up and while driving away.

Snowed yesterday higher up and so I quickly posted above to leave to rescue four motorcyclist while towing a flat bed trailer up to a mountain lodge. Never heard the fan clutch. It might be more common in hot and humid climates regions. It just doesn't sound right to me.

Very normal in all regions, especially if the truck sits for a few days. They have a viscous fan clutch and the fluid settles. There is a fun name for it but I can’t recall right now.

If you idle to warm up it might redistribute the fluid before driving.

Yeah, if I idle long enough for the coolant to hit 150ish, the roar is non existent.

If it’s 105 degrees out and I jump in and take off, the fan roars like hell for a minute or so.
