Reverse camera still on after shifting into Drive

Recently, possibly after and OTA update, the rear backup camera stays active when I shift from Reverse to Drive. Before that, the camera went off immediately after I shifted into Drive. Now, when I sift from reverse to drive the camera stays on sometimes for 15-20 seconds before turning off. This is really annoying as I'm heading down the road and the reverse camera is still on. I looked through the UConnect screen settings and didn't find anything about reverse camera delay shutoff timer, or anything remotely similar.

Software version is 160.21 and an OTA update happened last week - which is when this anomaly started.

Anyone else experience this?

(the interior isn't as filthy as the photo implies....just direct sunlight and a slight film of dust)

I think you can go into setting and set the delay. I have mine set on delay so I can watch the trailer as I pull away and make sure all is unhooked.

Yea it’s a programmable delay. In the setting menu in the radio.

Perfectly normal based on camera delay being enabled. With camera delay enabled it should stay on for 10 seconds or until you hit 8mph, whichever comes first.

You can tell it’s in camera delay mode by the X in the upper right corner. There isn’t an option to exit the camera view while in reverse.

If you want to disable it the option is under settings: camera.

Your were correct. It helps if I wear my reading glasses when looking through the settings.

Hmmm, my 2019 did that to me yesterday. Backed out from the garage and the camera stayed on when I went into Drive. It stayed on all the way down my 1/ 4 mile driveway. Stopped at the mailbox and went to Park and the camera went off and the radio screen came back. Reversed from the mailbox with backup camera and everything was normal when I went back into Drive.
