Hey to everyone.

Recently I had new tires installed (295/70r 18) at our local dealership. During that time I mentioned to the service manager, that if he could, I would appreciate taking the tire monitoring system and bumping down the low tire pressure alert so I didn't have it constantly lit up on my dash when I was towing. I told him I thought a 50 lbs alert would be okay and in return he told me that he would give it a shot. He did mentioned in some cases, that alert cannot be changed on some of the Ram trucks. Well, guess what?

Oddly, I don't believe he gave it the old college try and decided it was easier to send me packing with a story, than to mess resetting the command module that dictates that info.

So my question, Was he right?

BTW - It's been brought to my attention there is a $50 cell phone program on line that could possible change that setting. Is it snake oil? Your opinion please.

AlfaOBD can easily change that setting, along with lots of other benefits.

Setup is more than just the $50 (Android) app charge. AlfaOBD is also available for Windows.

You'll need a bypass cable and an OBD-II reader. KOAdTECh cable (or PM jimmy07) and a Vlinker MC+ is the least cost (reliable) entry.
