Greetings to all! I started out with a 2022 Ecodiesel Laramie Crew Cab 2 years ago with a 2023 Cougar Sport 2100 RK. The numbers were right on the fence for the 1500, I added Timbergrove airbags, 40psi which eliminated about 3 inches of sag. The truck performed magnificiently and mpg would range from 14-18 towing. So I have just purchased a '24 BigHorn Cummins Crew Cab with plans to upsize from our Cougar. I'm seeking personal information specifically addressing starting/empty weight of your 5vers, pin weights, and lengths of your rigs out there. I normally drive 60-65mph; almost no passing on the interstate, and comfortable with overall length of truck and RV. My goal for the new RV is unloaded RV weight of around 11500-12500, and pin weight around 2500#, and length definately under 40'.....preferablly around 35'. I'm not expecting any appreciable sag with those specs, but if so, will add a set of Timbergroves to the new truck. I realize there are many blogs on this subject matter, but mostly seeking real-world experiences out there, including the +/-'s. I understand the payload discussions and preferences based on the door stickers and books, but really seeking what folks have lived with out there and how they enjoyed/ or disliked the traveling regarding the size context.
