Hi guys glad to be in this group. I ordered a 2022 3500 and dealer let me kee my current truck. The tires are at 61k stock 275/70/18, thinking replace them as the waiting period could be several months. What are my options? 1- buy new fancy wheels and tires for current truck and then put to new truck? 2- buy another set of stock tires and just leave them for trade in. What would you do? Thanks!

I’d do option 1. I have nice wheels tires on current truck ordered a 3500 mega cab couple weeks ago decided to get new wheels n tires already for new truck. also the stock 20” wheel tires are going on my current truck figured the stock tires have bad reviews and everyone has the same wheels so I don’t want. I will use current wheels tires for winter and new wheels tires for summer

How about finding a good used set of rubber and use either ones , then put the others back on for trade in day? I'm sure they dont care too much when you trade in, they are going to make alot of money on your trade if this shortage keeps up ?

thanks all guys! yes this sounds a good option too.

Yup i would throw a cheap used set on, they usually always leave room for tire replacement when negotiating trades so they wont care whats on the truck when you hand the keys over
