And replaced it with a 2021 6.2L Supercharged 702hp 650ft torque TRX 1500 Billet Silver TR1, Bed Utility group, Tow Package, Remote Start, Ordered it on 1-31-21 and have a VON and a VIN and I'm in D status already. I have had it with the noise my 2nd symmetrical CP4 pump makes when it's 2° out for the first 20 seconds, when it fires up it makes a horrible growling rattle noise at about 80 decibels. Now if in between the time the TRX comes in Ram comes out with a CP3 conversion I might keep both but I will not hold my breath.

Well, that is definitely going “all-in” on fixing it. ;-). Eager to see what the payload comes in at..
My towing days are well over, I bought the 2500 as I like Diesel trucks but the CP4 has left a sour taste in my mouth. I had a 2004 5.9 4x4 long bed that I had that was pretty much trouble free for 8 years and 84k miles that I bought new.

Did they actually tell you that you were in D status? I thought I was also on my 1/23 order because the description I got from the chat agent last week seemed to match the description of D1 where a VIN is assigned and they implied they agreed. But today another chat agent told me that they can not see the actual status codes. He also said that now Ram VIN numbers are assigned as soon as an order is accepted so not to go by that. Here is part of the chat. I did not copy the part he typed about the VIN.
We only see the status, we do not see the codes. Your current status is The Ram is in the pre-production stage which means it's waiting for parts to be available so that it can move into the build process.

That sounds like it might be more like status code BX:
"BX: Passed edit – Good order, available for schedule"
Or maybe "C". But does not sound like "D" for mine. It would be so much easier if they would just give us the darn code rather than some obtuse description that we have to speculate on.

Dealer sent over updated Priced Order Confirmation (POC) with VON, VIN with D - Firm schedule: serial number is assigned.

Thanks! Contacting Ram though chat is so easy but unfortunate that the dealer will give us the Code, but Ram won't. Great that it took yours just two days to get to a firm scheduling!

No problem, I tried to order a truck that did not have parts on restriction except I was stuck with the 2-tone and that's on restriction. Bead locks, Carbon accents, TR2,, Park Assist are all on restriction as they don't have inventory. Also if your dealer has an allocation helps as well.

3 1/2 months later and it finally showed up at the dealer yesterday, I'm going to be happy to be finally be rid of the glitter bomb after 2 CP4 pump replacements. I'm going to miss the 17-20 mpg on long travels thou as the 6.2L looks to be thirsty. Maybe when they actually do the true 5th Gen cab I might get another Diesel as long as the EPA has not ruined it by then or electric cars have not taken over the world. Until then I will enjoy this 702hp 650ft torque monster for now.
