Removing Stock Steps from Power Wagon

I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to doing my own work on vehicles but I thought I would be able to tackle this job. I recently purchased new side steps for my 2021 Power Wagon and started the process of installation. I located the 6 bolts that needed to be removed to take off the stock steps and removed them. For the life of me, I cannot get the stock steps off of the truck and I don't see anywhere else where they are bolted to the truck. Does anyone have any experience with removing these type of steps? Thank you.

OEM factory rock sliders

Anyone have thoughts on OEM factory rock rails on 2021 Ram Power wagon. ? Curious on quality compared to frame-mounted White Knuckle rock rails. Are the factory rock rails frame mounted or attached to body ?
