Removing DRW front hub spacer.

I saw another DRW mega cab like mine yesterday going down the road. It had normal SRW wheels and tires on the front as far as offset. I know the spacer can be removed but what are the pros and cons of doing that.

Is there a kit people use or is it just removing the spacer and pressing in the studs for the wheels?
