Remote start

Love my 2021 Ram 2500 and would like to add remote start. Is the after market, push the lock button one as good as the factory system. If I got the factory system and install the module myself.....does it just need the key fob to be re-flashed by my dealership. The non- Ram system costs $175 and looks to be an easy install. I was quoted $320 for the system from the dealership plus $300 install (this seems excessive).

There is no module for the oem…. You either need new keys or solder the buttons on the fob board there are a few great threads about it if you use the search function. Aftermarket does work but OEM will automatically set the heat and defrost for you even if you forget to turn it on before getting out of the truck.

First step is check your hood latch for the electrical connector
