Remote start mod and fob programming

So I am in the process of doing the remote start mod on a 2020 Tradesman. Got the fobs, turned it on with Alpha and took it to a place to program fobs not dealer. Said he couldn't get it. Going to have to remove Radio to get to a plug. I'm not so sure about all that. Sounds like a good way to get a rattle. Thinking about taking it to a dealer. I downloaded Jscan but a little worried I might mess something up. Plus in the meantime my security cable has stopped working. What do you guys think? I have little to no luck at all.

If you have to have OEM remote a dealer may be your only way. I simply went the route of a start-x, $200, 20 minutes and be done with it.

I did get an OEM fob.

When I did mine with JScan it took about three tries to get it to pair completely. But I was adding the tailgate release feature.

Dove deep in the remote start thread. Found out the steps. Used Jscan read the pin and Fob programmed first try. Drove down the road. Now I have remote start. Awesome thanks guys .

Just picked up a spare fob for my 2021 Longhorn and programmed it using J-Scan. Easy process and works like a charm.
