so being as my truck is a farm truck..working daily..at times its a lot more conv to use the red fuel out of the bulk tank than go the only store within 10 miles and buy their crap fuel with water and dirty stuff in it. ive personally seen trucks stop running at the pump fueling his watered down crap

so in light entirely of the warranty...whats the stance in anyones opinion...its the exact same fuel..just not dyed green since we don't pay road tax for off road diesel in the tractors

I know all about the penalties and the d.o.t. just curious if the dealer would even care or not...ours is filtered way better than at the pump I promise..we fuel 450000 tractors .....its clean

As long as it is ultra low sulfur they cant say anything but most dyed fuel is only low sulfur not ultra low so make sure that it is indeed ultra low sulfur also running low sulfur can screw with these new trucks emissions systems

I've read that the Red Dye cheery juice is the same ULSD you get at the pumps here in the US. The only difference is that it wasn't taxed the same so it may keep you up at night.

From what I understand, it's the same fuel. Red fuel used to be low sulfur and not ultra low sulfur until '06 I believe. ( I would ask your fuel co. If this is true for your area) I also believe it won't affect the warranty as long as your truck is registered as a "farm vehicle" (again I would ask the dealer about that in your area) I personally have run red fuel without any issues but it also wasn't long enough to see if it was causing any issues to the emissions system. Working in the middle of nowhere and not having enough fuel to get home or handle an emergency sucks.

Up here in the good old Alberta we can legaly burn the die and after 30 something years I can say I have never had a problem.

if you were on a large ranch and the truck were not driven on public roads, you would be within the law using ag diesel. I can’t see the legal case for voiding a warranty when the restriction doesn’t have anything to do with what you are using the fuel in but where you are driving it.

I was just wondering if I ever had a fuel system issue if theyd say...'you used off road fuel we cant warranty it''....crap. it is the same..even labeled as such at the pump..just doenst have road tax so they dye it red..i use it in my 02 its entire life.....since it was new...I don't plan on using it unless I'm in a pinch....I wont run it all the time even tho I is 27 cents a gallon cheaper here in fl...

You will be fine if its the same fuel as it does not say you cant use colored fuel anywhere in the manual

don't be scared...I just didn't wanna hear bout the lehgality and people telling me it isn't the same fuel...all yall got it righ tho

you only have to worry if you get pulled over. some of the john q law's get nosey around farm communities and will dip a tank.

I believe if your registered as a "farm vehicle" you're exempt. You do have to prove that you actually own a farm and farm it. I also believe that there's a restriction on how many miles you are allowed to drive on public roads with a "farm vehicle" but again, check your local laws. I'm sure they've changed since I last ran off road diesel in my truck. I remember buying red fuel for $0.37 a gallon so yeah, it's been a minute.....
