Does anyone have experience or a recommendation for a well-made, custom fit Truck cover for the 2022 RAM 2500 Crew Cab? I know there a ton of options out there but specifically I want something that fits well not just a "one size fits most" ill-fitting amazon type.

Also, I have been looking into Sunshades as my RAM spends a lot of time in the CA sun. I have been looking at the Weathertech kit just not sure if they are the best fit/quality. I know Weathertech has been around forever and makes nice floormats, but is there a better option if price is not a factor?

Pics of what you have or your recommendation would be an appropriated addition!

THANKS!

I would highly advise against a cover. I’ve always seen car and trailer covers do far more harm than good.

I have a custom fit WeatherTech kit for our 3500. Perfect fit for all six windows. As stated, I would stay away from a cover unless the truck is parked in a building or completely out of the wind. The wind will cause scuffing of the paint. I learned this the hard way on a classic auto.

Thank you! That's exactly what I needed to know about the sun shades.

I do agree to a point. I usually keep my cars covered. The reason that I want a nice fitting cover is to minimize flopping around in the wind which causes a lot of that damage. I worked Paint and Body for 30+ years and I've seen the damage with common covers. I typically remove the cover and wash and dry every 2 or 3 weeks to minimize that issue. I also don't live in a regularly high wind area. Keeping the UV off the paint is more important to me as that's typically where clearcoat failure happens to factory finishes. I'd much rather buff some light wear vs having to repaint a truck.

Look into that IR tint..it makes a BIG difference in cutting down the cabin heat....IIRC, its called "kavacha"or something....drove by a tint place that was advertising the stuff for sale...used a clear on the windshield and darker on the rest. I lived in the high desert for a few months during the summer....that combined with sunshade...amazing.

I had the truck done like the first week I got it. I did ceramic. Everything I looked into said it had "IR blocking qualities" it definitely does help.
