Hi everyone, I am new hear and happy to be here. I drive a 2014 2500 4x4 with the 6.7, short bed, crew cab. I was hoping to get some advice from all of you. I about a year ago I had the notorious Y pipe connector failure on a trip of course 12 hours from home. So I was forced to go to the nearest dealership. Now while I was there they also took care of the draglink recall. Now that's all well and good but a year later their weld has failed and cracked on one of the jam nuts. I emailed FCA directly to see about me just getting an aftermarket drag link, I can install it and all that stuff, but I was asking them if they would pay for the part. I hear a lot of guys with that recall were doing that, and emailed FCA directly for reimbursement. Now I email USA FCA and their international email address. I have sent them about 8 emails and only got 2 responses, one of which was a we got your email message. With all of the experience in this group is there another course of action you think I should take or another avenue I should explore? the local dealers by me are terrible and I really don't want to go back to them, they have hassled me in the past for simple things, like selling me parts that are banged up to all hell and they say well that's how it is. Thank you all for your thoughts.

I don’t like to fuss with stuff, so given my time, I’d get one off rock auto, swap it myself and be done with it.
