Rebel Tire Noise?

I’m considering a 2500 CTD for my next truck and test drove a gorgeous Rebel over the weekend. Really nice truck, but the tire noise was louder than I expected. Was that because the tires are new and will they quiet down some over time?

If not, I’ll probably skip the Rebel and focus on a Laramie or maybe another F-250.

Tires don't quiet down over time, if anything they get louder after about 50% wear. Look at what was on it for tires and we can advise more about the noise. A Laramie or F250 isn't necessarily quieter by itself, depends what tires are on each vehicle, and depending on what is on the Rebel you may want to change them out fairly soon anyway for something better or more suited to your needs.

Traded in our 2024 Ram 3500 4x4 quiet HT tires immediately after purchase for some much noisier 3PMSF rated tires that are designed to work better in the snow belt. $150 trade-in per tire. New tires were $400 each. $1,000 out of pocket. I liked the truck, but not the tires.

They will quiet down a touch after the first 500 miles but you need to rotate them every 5k miles if you want them to stay quiet, to just have them swapped out, most dealers will trade the aggressive tires for lesser ones for almost nothing as they can resell the aggressive ones not usually the other way around. If they are the good years then you can call good year and they can work with the dealer to swap them but not after you have driven on them….
