Hey All.... I had asked in another thread about rear wheels locking in a panic stop and looking for someone to confirm they have same behavior of rear wheel lock up or not.
Couple weeks ago I had to slam on my breaks as I was driving through a neighborhood and a kids wagon rolled out into the street. I was going maybe 30 MPH and my rear wheels locked the entire distance while I came to a stop.
To me that didn't seem right. I intentionally went to an isolated street later on and did a few power stops and always with the same results of the rears and never feeling the ABS kick in till the very last moment and I assume that was the front wheels, they never locked.
Fast forward a few days and I stop by the service dept and inquire about this and get the response of "Well if there are no indicating lights such as ABS or Traction Control Lit, we have to assume the system is working properly" Gee thanks for the great diagnostics, thankfully that came with no Fee......
Now I wonder if its due to no load in the bed, but honestly that should not be a factor for the wheels are not supposed to lock up, Anti Lock Brakes.
I wonder if any one would consider finding an isolated road or parking lot and do a couple power stops, and I mean slam on the brakes as if a child just ran out in front of you type panic stop, and report back with their results. I would greatly appreciate!!
For the record its a 6.4 Hemi, CC, short bed with Factory Rear Air Sus.
Thanks
