I have a 2019 power wagon level one with the 12 inch screen and only the back up camera. Bummer I know but I got the truck at a steal new when the pandemic started. Anyway I really want to figure out something for the front camera. I have seen several people add it to the soft key for the chmsl but I don’t really want to do that as I may add it as well.
My question is has anyone thought about using an aftermarket rear view mirror monitor with the camera mounted to the front grille? Would there be any problems ditching the mirror I have now? It just auto dims now. I don’t have rain sensing whispers or auto brights but as I understand it with my package the hardware for that is there just deactivated.
Anyway here is a link to a setup to add a back up came in the tailgate that could probably be moded to work. But there are many aftermarket monitors that might work. Many even take multiple inputs.
