Rear View Mirror Camera - Adding in Bed?

All - have a 2022 2500 with the rear view camera. Unfortunately, my camper shell makes the rear view camera that is mounted in the 3rd brakelight pretty useless. I would like to mount a camera in the rear window of my camper shell, and then use that for my rear view mirror. I realize this would have been easy if I got the 5th wheel prep, but I was not thinking at the time (since that would add a camera port in the bed).

Any ideas on if I can use an OEM harness to split the camera input like they do with the OEM 5th wheel prep?

I have just run into the same issue and came across your question. Neither my Ram dealer or my cap company rep (ARE) had a solution to this issue. I've gotten to like the camera system so far and would like keep it when I tow our camper. I'll keep checking your thread see if anyone has a solution a different camera system that could connect in cleanly. Good luck.
