We have a 130 lb Boerboel Dog (South African Mastiff). The Boerboel's hair is somewhat stiff and gets stuck onto/into everything in the back seat area of my crew cab especially the rear seat bottom cover material. REally hard to get out! Looking for a cover that would protect the back of the front seats, load floor, and bottom of the rear seats (when folded up). Anybody out there with a similar issue? Any recommendations? ThanksIMG_8361.JPG

I just have a set of seat covers we have 2 pugs its basically the same hair just smaller scale dogs lol

I have this for my Vizsla (short straight hair) and it is super easy to clean. The hair doesn’t stick. Only downside is it’s a bit slippery so try not to make any sudden stops or sharp turns or your backseat passenger may not be too happy with you.

I use a seat cover for pets good one about 70 on line . I also use a large metal link and chain attached to the link which is attached to the headrest support and a harness at the other end . He has plenty of room to lay down and is safely restrained in case of an emergency . I found a dog choker chain makes a good chain to use between the link and the harness . Don't need a four legged missile flying around the truck in the event of an accident .

I have this in both of my trucks. I use it with the rear seats up and over the flat floor. Heavy duty and top quality.

Yep thats what we have also. Brown on one side camo on other side. Had it for 6 years
My oldest one (6 years) is a Ducks Unlimited, "Grass Blades" special edition, love it.
My newest one (2 years) is black to match the interior.
My Lab's constant hair shedding just slides off of them, and any debris wipes off with ease.
They are definitely a better product than the $30-40.00 ones.

i use something similar to what Sanda linked for my 115lb german shepard. If you have the windows open for your dog. Its not going to matter. The hair will still get EVERYWHERE no matter what you do. The only thing to do is crate him but a crate for his size will not fit inside the cab.

What I usually do is blow it out with a leaf blower and then with a spray bottle of water wet my hands down and start wiping away. The hair sticks to your wet hands and you can clump it up and throw it out.

"The hair will still get EVERYWHERE no matter what you do." Sooo true! 01b-smiley-3-winker.png

I have two border collies that spend 24/7 turning dog food into hair. LOL Was hard to find a cover wide enough. Ended up with this one. Gave me the coverage I needed. As posted by John above, that dog hair migrates everywhere.View attachment 34479

That's a nice cover, and bigger than all the others. I would consider that, but it cuts off access to the front seats, which is good, but my Lab likes to curl up in the front passenger seat (I know, she should know her place is in back). If I park in a noisy area she likes to hide on the front driver floorboard, it's her safe zone.

I ended up getting a Tapiona XXL Truck and SUV Backseat Cover. It works great in my 21 RAM 2500 backseat area when the seat bottoms are folded up against the seat backs and the load floor is folded out. Pup seems to be fine with it. The hair is still not easy to get off of it, but easier than getting it out of the seat cover backs/bottoms.

Get a harness and a dog choke chain . Attach the chain to the rear seat head rest post and the other end to the harness . The dog has enough slack to move around and lay down . It will keep him safe in the event of an accident or jumping out when you open the door . Get a couple of threadable chain type links for attaching chain to post and harness .
