Rear middle seat belt retractor not working?

Just realized my rear middle seat seat belt is malfunctioning. When installing car seats you pull the seat belt all the way out, then it "clicks" and locks in place. Mine will not ratchet at all despite pulling it all the way out. Anyone have an easy fix for this or had this issue?

Try pulling cover off, pull belt back through by hand and re-tighten bolt.

Thanks, does the cover just pop off? The trucks under warranty but would rather fix myself.

Thinking they do, under cover is a bolt just loosen bolt and remember to re-tighten bolt when done.

Do you know which side comes off? I'm hesitant to pry on it and break it. This is a picture of the seat belt "reel" that goes under the middle rear seat.

If you’re planning on strapping in kids I would take it to the dealer even though it is a pain. Just my two cents...which is worth probably less.

I agree 100 % with Great White North, no reason to take a chance.
