Hello everyone. First time post here. Needing some assistance with my 2019 2500 6.4 Laramie short bed. 32,000 miles on it now. Bought it back in April 2024 with 18,000 miles. It's developed a vibration and hum at 65 that seems consistent with a u joint going out. It can be felt and heard in the floorboard area, more so back seat. I don't really feel it at 60 or 70 much. Anyways, being proactive, I'm trying to find Spicer u joints for the rear shaft. Have not had any luck. I can find them for the front axle though. Has anyone put Spicer u joints in the rear shaft? Looks to be original AAM u joints in there now. I'm not a fan of MOOG as my 2005 3500 cummins I had ate MOOG joints up like it was it's job, switched it to Spicer and never had an issue again. Searching here has revealed discussion about front axle.
I suppose it could be a front hub bearing as well. I had similar noise on my 05, but that was more heard up front. That's easy to check though.
Also, on the rear driveshaft u joints, it has these short plastic tits, as I'd call them, sticking out on what would be the side of the u joint yokes. What are those about?
