here is my take if you think it is ok for ram 1500 owners plastering Power Wagon on their rigs because they have heritage then that is fine. If you drive a 1939-1945 Power Wagon that is fine....I have never understood it tho if you don't really have the real deal, but everybody is different. Nothing wrong with honoring your dad and his service. I am guessing you have to be in your 50's or 60's if your dad served in ww2. I lost an uncle in ww2 (never met him of course) had an uncle who was a prisoner of war in ww2 and have an uncle who was wounded in the Korean war (actually @thkbaron's granddad) and my dad served in Korea as well. I remember once I was going to get a tattoo honoring my parents and my dad said "son don't be stupid" my dad was a pretty smart guy, here I am 64 yoa and still no tattoos lol.Power Wagons had their roots starting in WW2. Also since my dad served in WW2 he drove a few of them after the war ended and he was reassigned from infantry division. He has a few pictures driving them through Germany on the AutoBahn. I thought it would pay homage to it roots.
when I was 18 my mom said “don’t get tattoos, think about what they will look like when you’re old and wrinkly!” And I said “I’ll be old and wrinkly but with tattoos”I remember once I was going to get a tattoo honoring my parents and my dad said "son don't be stupid" my dad was a pretty smart guy, here I am 64 yoa and still no tattoos lol.
My family has basically served/ fought every war this country has had from the revolutionary war to the war in Iraq and Afghanistan.
