Rattle normal?

First diesel I’ve owned. Question. Does everyone’s diesel rattle like valves rattling on a gas engine when your accelerating and in the bottom of the gear.

If you mean a bit of "timing rattle", yes.

Mine does it as well. '19 HO with and Aisin. Sounds pre-ignition on a gas engine. Unlike everyone else's response, I hate the noise. This isn't my first diesel, but this is the first automatic diesel I've owned that allows RPM's to get low enough to do this. On my manual shift diesels it never happens as I'm in control. I assume it's perfectly normal as everyone says they have it as well.

Ya mine sounds a lot different than my 12 and it’s a little bit disconcerting but probably get used to it.
