I was doing some reading and came across a statement that the shorter block of the inline six diesel engine allowed for a shorter nose. This made me wonder - does a Hemi V8 equipped truck have a longer nose than it's CTD counterpart?

Thats backwards the V8 is much shorter than the inline 6 CTD just think V8 you only have 4Cyl in a row vs an I6 the Cummins would have a longer nose but they dont that would just be a killer for profit on production.

I wish the hemi had a shorter and lower nose…the worst for picking lines off road that I have ever driven except for the TRX, that scoop is awful.
First gen Titan had the best of any full size ever IMO…can hardly see the hood.

This exactly. The Hemi is so short in these engine compartments that it’s almost entirely behind the front axle.

I crawled under my CTD yesterday for the first time and thought to myself the engine is huge! It just keeps going! It fills the engine bay lengthwise for sure!
