Same truck that was $81k MY2021 is now $89k.

So we are now talking pricier than Ford for a 10 y old platform that is long overdue for a transmission revamp, and they no longer offer the color I want.

Correct, although not sure about the pricier than a Ford when you have similar trim and options. But I could be wrong and didn't bother to check.

While it isn’t fun, if you look at inflation that is a direct correlation to cost to produce these trucks. Thanks current administration for that.
These trucks are made in Mexico from global parts. Are we thanking the Mexican administration? Considering the primary market is in the US, I think it should be more so getting Senators to pressure Stellantis to move production state side. Whilst it might cost more, that additional cost is supporting more (skilled) local jobs.

Yes, I'm getting about $89k for a very similar F350 CC LB 4x4 SRW Lariat, but including the $3k Warn winch.
With a custom order and one of the many dealers doing it, you can expect to pay 11% bellow MSRP (~4% bellow invoice). I think a few Ford Dealers are doing ~2% bellow invoice, but likley a much longer wait?

Eh yes and no. I am a domestic company (500+ employees) and we source raw materials both domestically and internationally and our cost to produce have gone up in the last 2 years drastically. Like Stellantis my products sell at a higher price now too.

Stellantis is no different. While I would like more domestic production done. That doesn’t change the inflation levels.

Costs to produce (labor/materials/logistics/etc.) are all up. That is what causes higher prices to consumers.

i ordered a 2022 bighorn dually Dec 1st of last year...MSRP at order was $73,120, sticker in Feb when it was delivered was $75,990...now the sticker is just over $80k when building an identical 2022 online....(it's $79.9k but it keeps kicking out my options when I add the bucket seats)

think about that

two 2022 bighorn duallies can/will have as much as a $7k difference in MSRP and I wouldn't even consider my build to have been an "early order"....meaning that there was probably a 2022 MY price increase before my December order

just doesn't seem sustainable -

and as far as the Ford comparison, agreed that the pricing is wacky, but Ford can be giving away trucks and it doesn't matter as ordering a Super Duty has been shut down since April(?) and the rumor is that they won't open the order banks back up until Oct/Nov? Ram is at least building them and if you want an HD, they are almost on the only game in town right now. my local GM dealer had a few HDs come through but the last time I talked to them they had several on order that they had literally been waiting for over a year to be delivered

guess we'll find out here in a couple years if these Covid trucks will "hold up" that are being built like crazy by Ram whereas Ford and GM seem to be playing by a different set of rules - and not in a good way

If you haven't seen any facebook posts of people selling F450s look 'em up...they are bringing $20k over sticker for used ones...if I wanted a Ford, I'd have to want it pretty bad to go down that financial pathway

Since I bought my 2019 truck MSRP is up 10k and my local dealers are asking 10k over MSRP…. And interest rates have almost doubled. It’s a different world…

Ford puts out less of a truck with an equal cost and nothing wrong with the current trans options offered by ram

For example we have a 2022 f550 in our shop right now for flat bed mods the interior is just as bad as they were in 2000 the only difference is this has a tiny 3.5” non touch screen radio… you cant even get that low of trim in a ram

Two years ago stellantis announced they were bringing HD production back to the states but haven't heard anything lately.

That was actually 4 years ago, in 2018. But in 2019, they decided to stay in Mexico with the HDs, and invest in the Michigan plants to allow for Wagoneer and the new grand Cherokee L production.
