I am looking at a 19 tradesman for sale and shockingly this truck doesn't have and engine brake or the button it cleverly hidden. Its a level 2 truck so I thought that was odd.
Do you think it has it but can't see it until it illuminates? Just talked to the salesman and he said it didn't but he is also a young kid. I didn't see it on the oem window sticker. Going to see for myself tomorrow. It's an hour and half drive to that dealership. Was very surprised.
I just looked at my window sticker for a 2022 Bighorn and it did not have the exhaust break listed as an option and it definitely has the exhaust break.Do you think it has it but can't see it until it illuminates? Just a nitpick, but this would be an exhaust brake, not an engine brake.I am looking at a 19 tradesman for sale and shockingly this truck doesn't have and engine brake or the button it cleverly hidden. Its a level 2 truck so I thought that was odd.
Red flag lolWent to look at and buy the truck. Engine light came on in the middle of test drive. Went into limp mode. I am sure it's something with the def system. I plan on buying it whenever they get it right. They are at a stand stull until they get the computers back up and running. I am hoping I can get the uconnect 4 updated to as current as available. Was happy it has the weather app like my 16 ram had.
I am thinking the same thing. They are telling me def sensor. It still has the old def. The truck has 11000 miles is all.The 2019 and 2020 CTD’s were plagued with the CP4.2 failures, so it’s possible it could have failed. That test drive might have saved you future head aches. If it were me I’d pass on that truck. But if they were to sweeten the pot with a big discount and an included extended warranty, it might sway me into the deal.
Weren't those recalled? If it's at a Ram dealer it would have to have the recall done before they can resell it.The 2019 and 2020 CTD’s were plagued with the CP4.2 failures, so it’s possible it could have failed. Some people cant help themselves and have to bring up the CP4.2 as if its still a relevant issueWeren't those recalled? If it's at a Ram dealer it would have to have the recall done before they can resell it.
