I ordered a 26 3500 nov 10 it arrived to the railyard dec 18 which is 9 miles from the dealership. I was so happy to be receiving my new truck for xmas but alas its jan 1 and its still at railyard super frustrating that its this close and nothing the dealer can do till it arrives on transport. FAAACCK Has anyone else run into this issue.

That's why some people, like me, end up with "not exactly" what they wanted. In order to buy off the lot and get the model and options I wanted I had to go with a 2500 instead of a 3500 HO. I wasn't going to wait weeks or months when I needed a new truck NOW.

Ya i get that they built the truck quick and it shipped quick thats not the issue its the last 9 miles lmao I've ordered many new dodges in my life never had one sit at the railyard 2 weeks im assuming its got alot to do with the holidays. I'm sure it will show up soon

My sales guy went and picked up my truck after it sat at the rail yard for about a week, the yard is fairly close to my dealer, about 20 miles, so unless they have some different kind of agreement with the transporters I don't see why they couldn't do the same thing

My guy tried that route apparently where I live they have to arrive to dealership on a car hauler

Back in March of 2022 my dealer being just 75 miles from the rail yard ( an they have there own fleet of trucks for pick up from the rail yard) mine sat in the rail yard for just over 3 weeks waiting to be unloaded off the rail car, they said they are at the mercy of the rail yard workers and have been since covid started, he said they are a bunch of lazy @sses who only know one speed, slow...

Rail has definitely gotten worse since Warren Buffer / Berkshire Hathaway has purchased a bunch of rails. Far fewer workers, train lengths are now 150 cars long instead of the 100 max. Also a lot of military rail traffic taking up capacity.
