Quick intro

Good morning guys and gals, figured I would make a quick intro post before diving off in the pool here. My name is Chris and I am waiting on my new HD truck to be delivered, a 2020 2500 Laramie with the 6.4 Hemi. I am trading in my 2019 1500 bighorn on it but I am not new to the HD truck scene. For a big part of my life 2500 and 3500 diesel trucks were the only thing I drove...I am new to the gas block HD trucks though so I’ve got lots of information to digest. I will use it to pull a 28’ bumper pull camper a few times a year and will be my around town daily driver the rest of the time. I would like to move to a small 5th wheel for me and the wife when the kids graduate in a couple years. I know the gas blocks are usually frowned upon and looked down at but it was the better option for me at this time and my dealer made me a deal I couldn’t say no to so I figured why not give it a try and see what the fuss is all about first hand. I might move up to a diesel in a year or 2 but for now I’m pretty excited to get my hands on this one and run it through it’s paces.

From alot of reviews here the only thing problem is before you take it make sure it doesnt have a squeal apon start up, other than that the guys with the 6.4 & new transmission seem to love it.

Thank you, I added a members ride post with the truck specs and pictures now that it’s sitting in my driveway. Long story short, being rated at 3000 pounds of payload and 14,500 max towing should serve me very well for my current camper that has a dry weight of 6,640 pounds with plenty of room to be able to step up to a 30ish foot 5th wheel later when I don’t need the extra bunks for the kids.

My 32' has a max GVWR of 12K and our usual pin weight is around 2100-2200 depending on loadout. All the extra gear and hitch eats up payload fast.
